December 2016

The time is fast approaching when the core of the Queen’s Wharf precinct will be closed to the public and construction by Destination Brisbane Consortium will commence. The first of the noticeable changes begin on 1 January 2017.

Preliminary work has been going on for some time. Soil sampling has been undertaken in the vicinity of Queen’s Wharf Road. The footings of the former Immigration Depot have been investigated. Notices have been placed in the precinct to advise the general public of changes to bus and pedestrian routes around the precinct.

Bus change information can be viewed on the TransLink website.

You can read the changes to footpaths at http://www.destinationbrisbaneconsortium.com.au/pdf/QW-Traffic-Transport-Fact-Sheet.pdf
